Hong Kong Pop Comics 1960s-1990s

2nd Anniversary
May 16, 2003

This year I don't feel like to hold a table of Hong Kong Displays. Instead, I supported picket idea from my friend, Vanessa Soltero, and decorated them with a theme of Hong Kong Comics.

Here are a few of the most remembered comics and most remarkable scenes in Hong Kong during the period from 1960 (the year I was born) to 1997 (Hong Kong's Hand Over).

Each picket represents one decade and contains scenes, comics and stamps or coins.

Do you know why the new disease was given the name 'SARS'? The answer is simple that when China took Hong Kong back and named her as 'Hong Kong Special Administrative Region'. Did the Chinese Government have ESP when they named Hong Kong? Ha! Ha!
